how to choose a good HANDHELD ELECTRIC MASSAGER to buy for your body?????
how to choose it?
what characteristics do you look for in it?
do you have one?
does it really have effect with you?
i mean other than relaxation?
does it help in reducing cellulite for example?and for firming body?
do you use oils with it?
and what oils?
please tell me all what you know about massagers?
Massagers can stimulate circulation & help to heal muscles, ligament & tendons. Cellulite reduction has been a debate among people.
Massage oils are typically used by professionals & are rubbed in by hand not machine.
Some oils or lotions may or may not destroy electric massager parts.
A soft slippery cloth makes electric massagers glide on the skin.
I own several massagers some are great others are mistakes.
Consider the massager shape & weight & handle comfort & what body parts you plan to use it on. Does it have heat & variable speed?
Generally buzz type massager on bony body parts & percussion on thicker body tissues & muscles.
I paid $125 for a good quality heavy duty motor with rotating magnet massager with 4 large steelies that rub/spin in circles to imitate fingertips however it was very heavy 6 or 7 lbs & was hard to control. Over engineered.
If its too good to be true dont buy it.
Some professional chiropractor massagers great quality nearly $100 ( heavy duty buzz type) with a thick rectangular base are too big or heavy for solo use & youll need someone willing to massage your body.
I prefer (use 90% of the time solo) the long handle percussion $28-59 (also called thumpers) massager with 2 egg shaped attatchments mine has heat this type of massager will massage deep into the muscles & get the knots out. Some have advertised/claim that this type will "tone & break up fat deposits".
Avoid clearance store / flea market battery operated massagers they are a waste of money & underpowered & fall apart.
Smaller massagers & massagers that buzz dont do much & are ok for the neck & maybe forehead.
The chair / shiatsu massager $159 is a kneading type usually motors with steelies to imitate fingers they spin slow & do well on the back.
