Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu massage...now I'm sore!!!?
My neck and back had been stiff and sore for over a week, so finally last night after work I stopped by a Shiatsu massage parlor for a quick 15-minute rub down.
The therapist kept asking me if the pressure was ok, and I kept saying yes even though it was very uncomfortable. I kept telling myself it would be better in the end and it DEFINITELY was! I slept like a dream last night. Now however I'm SORE AS HECK!!!! I'm assuming it's cause the pressure was too much after all, but I'm wondering how long should I wait before I go back again? Would it be ok to go back today and ask him to rub very gently to ease the pain, or is that too soon? How about if I wait until Monday?
as far as how long you should wait depends on if you pain comes back again. If it doesn't then you don't have to go back. if it does then talk to you therapist for a recommendation of when you should go back, or just wait til the soreness goes away completely.
