Does anyone know of the best ultrasonic deterent for rat and mice?
I think I have a mouse or a rat problem in a flat of mine. The person living there does not want to use poisons or rat traps that kill but prefers the idea of repelling them using ultrasound. I've seen these for sale in Sunday supplements but are they any good and which are the best ones?

Philip H © is right I'm afraid, ultrasonic rodent deterrents are a load of bulls**t believe me. I've dealt with a few companies promoting these items and the customer dissatisfaction and return rate are ridiculously high.
You’re going to have to persuade the tenant that rat traps are the only way to go – I’m sure some ‘humane’ ones work but I’ve never tried and if they’re totally useless, don’t quote me.
As for your house, make sure you up your floor hygiene conditions massively during rat trapping. No matter how many traps and/or deterrents you have, if your floor and floorboards are laden with old food, they will keep coming.
